Energy Saving Measures.

  • Draft proofing - check gaps around windows /doors /fireplaces and seal them wherever possible.

  • Check your property’s insulation - you or your landlord might be eligible for grant funding to improve it.

  • Select the best tariff possible - there aren’t many deals to be had lately as most suppliers are operating at the Price Cap, however following Martin Lewis’ advice on Money Saving Expert is a great way to know when you should be looking to switch, fix or stick.

  • Contact your energy provider to request a smart meter so you can track your energy use more easily.

  • See if you can be moved away from more expensive ways of paying, such as pre-payment meters and quarterly paper statements vs monthly direct debits.
