There is a check that can be completed on the remote and this can be done by putting a smart phone into selfie mode and pointing the remote at the camera. If the remote is working, you will see a flickering light on screen coming from the remote's infrared lens. If you cannot see the light, then a new remote will be required.
Please ensure that the battery are working/ new and inserted correctly before testing the remote.
