LOW PRES error is displayed on the Edel cylinder. What does this mean?

(Low Pressure Message)

This means the Edel is struggling to get enough heat from the incoming air. It is likely that the flow of air to the Edel is too low or is blocked.

The installer should check the ducting is not blocked or collapsed and is within the allowed distance & air pressure drop specified in the manual. Also, as part of the annual maintenance, the evaporator inside the product may need to be cleaned by a competent person, especially in dusty air environments.

If the installer has confirmed the air flow to the Edel is correct, then an engineer would need to attend to investigate further. If we were to attend and find the ducting arrangements insufficient, the callout would be chargeable.

The Edel should automatically switch on the backup immersion element in the event of this error. If it does not come on, use the “Elec Mode” search on Knowledgebase for  “My Edel hot water cylinder has stopped heating the water. How do I get hot water via backup?”

Note if you have your Edel set as a language other than English the error may display as -
