Quantum Series A-G showing Heater disabled. What does this mean?

This means the backup battery in the User Interface is now dead.

Remedy:.

The backup battery is only used to keep the clock running if the peak 24hr mains supply is interrupted. All other setting are not affected.

To get around the issue quickly - simply set the correct current time & date.

Press MENU - Date / Time and set the current date & time. The heater will then work as normal. If the heater has been switched off, allow up to 72 hours for the heater to fully establish now much charge it needs.

What type of battery is used?

The battery is a CR2032 lithium 3V coin cell, available from online retailers and high street sellers such as Halfords. (They are often used in car keyfobs, PC motherboards & other small gadgets).

We do not stock the battery ourselves.

How to change the battery

To replace the battery, the heater needs to be first isolated from the mains.

The right hand side cover is removed, then a screwdriver poked into the slot as shown to remove the UI from its holder. We would recommend a suitably qualified person carries out this task.

The battery is on the back of the User Interface and slides out of the holder.
