Can the AC heater be connected to a 13A Fused connection unit?

SERVICING AND REPAIRS

WARNING – Servicing and product repairs should only be undertaken by the manufacturers approved service agent or a similarly trained or qualified person, using only exact manufacturer approved spare parts.

Electrical installation

The installation of this appliance should be carried out by a competent electrician and be in accordance with the current BS7671 IET wiring regulations. Only a minimum CSA (cross sectional area) of 2.5mm2 heat resistant ordinary polyvinyl chloride sheathed flexible cord should be used. IE60227 IEC57, rated T90.

A suitable isolator to the fixed wiring of the premises must be provided adjacent to the final position of the Switch Panel. An Isolator must be fitted close to the heater to allow for servicing.

We recommend using a 20A DP isolation switch for the 3kW AC product as 13A Fused connection units may overheat with prolonged 3kW loading.

Installers will need to determine the safest means of isolation for the 4.5kW and 6kW unit, in accordance with the current BS7671 IET wiring regulations

Applicable models
