Why is my dehumidifier not collecting moisture from my windows and surfaces?

Dehumidifiers are designed to remove airborne moisture which is pulled through the product. It is unable to collect moisture that has already condensed on surfaces until it evaporates into the air. If it is in it's vapour state then it is in the air and can be collected by the dehumidifier.

You can try increasing the temperature of the room, which will consequently allow the air to carry more moisture, as well as ensuring the filter is clean and product settings are adjusted suitably for the room.
